Episode 18: And The Oscar Goes To…

Well, here we are dolls! The finale! It has been a long, tumultuous road this season. Definitely a lot of drama, and not as many laughs. However, my bond with Teresa became even stronger and we are as close as ever. So, here it goes; my thoughts on episode 18:

To kick it off, I will say again: Teresa did not know Melissa would be set up! She did not put anyone up to anything! When Joe Gorga is calling everyone rats, maybe he should look to Bulldog’s Twitter feed because he is the one who started it, not us! The rumor has been going around for years. Give it a rest already. And if I ever see Joe do an interview without knocking his sister, I would fall off my chair…

Whenever I throw a party or event, I always make sure I get to greet and mingle with all of my guests. That is what I was doing when Penny and Teresa called me over. When I was summoned you could see that I was not particularly thrilled about being brought into it. I wanted no part of it and I was no part of it PERIOD. This was in no way my battle. And when Melissa says “Teresa has a lot of control over Kim D”, I think all of you have gotten to know me at this point and should understand that there is not one person on this planet who has ever controlled me…EVER. And in response to “who has the agenda to take Melissa down”, what I was thinking when I look at Teresa was here we go again. Unfortunately, there are people who do want to take Melissa down, but in this particular case the proof is in the pudding. The Gorgas should see that and once and for all stop blaming Teresa.

I will get more into this later because believe me, I HAVE A LOT TO SAY, but to address Caroline’s interview statement: “You know this whole thing I’m watching it play out and I realize that the common denominator is always Kim D. For years, and years, and years her hands have been dirty. You know it’s just ugly, it’s just wrong.” First of all, “YEARS AND YEARS AND YEARS?!” Boy, that sounds like a lot of time! I have known Caroline for five years, and that’s it. I am a business owner. I have events all the time. I invite everyone who supports my business, whether they be family, friends, or clients. I do not disinvite people who shop at Posche just because they do not get along with other people who are attending.  It’s my opening so that automatically puts me at fault because it’s taking place in my establishment? Come on…

For the record, I told Penny to tell John not to come. I did not think it was the time and the place for everyone to confront each other at my opening. If you heard earlier in last week’s episode, Melissa asked Joe if Johnny was coming. He replied saying he hoped so. Jacqueline and Chris also mentioned they too were hoping he was there so they could speak to him. It was clear trouble was brewing. That is why when John walks in you hear me say: “Oh God, oh God, oh God.” I was nervous because I immediately felt the aggression in the room. I always own it when I had something to do with something, and I can say that I had absolutely NOTHING to do with this.

Joe Gorga of course has the right to defend his wife. This situation has been building up for two years since the Posche Fashion Show in 2011. I will say that I know Teresa and she would never talk about her parents to anyone. She is very protective of them.  As I feared, things went from bad to worse. The incident that happened that night was like nothing I had ever seen before. Much worse than the christening. I will agree with Caroline that it was exactly like a tsunami. Within seconds my boutique was leveled, not to mention the brand new porcelain sinks the Moxies had just installed. Everyone was not only in shock, but scared for their lives. Instead of taking the confrontation outside, the men put their wives and a room full of what was primarily women, in utter danger.

Now, with regards to Caroline’s literally off-the-wall reaction to the events, this is what I have to say: Firstly, I do not appreciate having a finger pointed in my face. If everyone remembers back to the Season 1 finale, Danielle told Caroline the same thing. It is very degrading. Secondly, am I-iiiiii “happy”?! I will quote myself, I WAS “NOT F*CKING HAPPY!” My brand new clothes were destroyed, my cuffs were broken, not to mention the back of my dear friends’ salon was practically demolished. Why on earth would I EVER want that? Thirdly, what I “did to a family”?? So, apparently the whole debacle is to be blamed solely on me because I threw a party to celebrate my opening. My mistake. And not to mention the fact that I made up with Joe and Melissa earlier this year BECAUSE Teresa is such a good friend and we wanted to put an end to any animosity. While Caroline was jumping up and down like a human jack-in-the-box, apparently going for the Best Actress in a Supporting Role Oscar, my own “army” was rallying around me flabbergasted by such ludicrous accusations. It was beyond disrespectful, and right in front of my mother nonetheless? Disgusting. Fourthly, the “moron” comment…I KNOW she was not talking about me. I really appreciated Jamie (owner of the Moxie) jumping in front of me and telling Caroline to “get out”. She really had my back and was not going to stand for her screaming in my face for no reason. Not to mention, this fight was absolutely none of her business! Thank goodness I was being held back for fear of my safety because I do not take too kindly to being verbally attacked. I feel Caroline has been bullying people for years. She has called people names like “garbage” and “clown”, not to mention said she would “burn my store down” if she was Teresa. She has always shopped at my store and been nice to my face. Our families go way back. Much to my dismay, I had no idea whatsoever that she felt this way about me. Now I guess I know where we stand.

In conclusion, this season started with the perfect storm and ended with the perfect storm. Having personally experienced and lived through Hurricane Sandy, it was truly devastating for the state of New Jersey. Millions were left without electricity, gas lines were 5+ hours long, not to mention all the people who lost their beautiful homes. I think it’s safe to say that Sandy was the real home wrecker this year. It really puts things into perspective. In the grand scheme of things, all of these little tiffs and idle gossip, are really very trivial. Life is too short and I remind myself of this every single day.

I will be back next week to share my thoughts on the Reunion: Part 1! Hope you all enjoyed the first week of Fall! And tickets for the POSCHE Fashion Show are almost sold out! It’s going to be the best one yet, so if you’d still like to join us call to get yours! We promise you a fabulous time as always!

Episode 17: The Calm Before the Storm

Hi Dolls!

Well, here we are! Can’t believe we are almost at the finale! Where has the time gone?? This was my big night! Here are my thoughts on Episode 17:

Always love seeing my POSCHE! Was so pleasantly surprised to see my girls walk through my door together again! It was like old times when I first opened. They have both been my friends for years and it really upset me to see them have a falling out. I always stayed true to both of them though. I do not believe in burning bridges in business, or in friendships. However, if you mess with me, Hell hath no fury like the fury of Kim D!! I think you all know what I mean 😉 Anyway, did everyone like my hairstyle? My friend Jamie of the Moxie Salon in Ridgewood did it, and I have to say it’s my favorite hairstyle I have ever had filming on the show! Very Camille Grammer and I loved it! Teresa was dressed in head to toe POSCHE. Wasn’t that Alice + Olivia coat fabulous? And I loved the Feel the Piece top with the thumbholes underneath it! Everyone knows that I am easily accessible. I own a business and people come in to chat with me all the time. More often than not they tend to just tell me things I do not ask to hear. I was honest with the girls that Penny was invited to my opening. She has been a client of mine for years, so naturally she would be there to support me. I am not one to fight other’s battles, nor am I one to take other’s enemies on as my own. And “calm as a cucumber” is my favorite line! Haha love my Teresa!

Quick aside, Melissa was wearing our Torn by Ronny Kobo illusion midi dress for her vocal practice in Orlando. Didn’t it look fabulous on her? And Gia is right when she says all Mel’s songs are very catchy! The Little Town opening was a fun night. As usual, Teresa was representing POSCHE in our Alice + Olivia leopard blazer. She looked so fabulous all season long. The view from the restaurant in Hoboken  is breathtaking. I wish the boys a lot of luck with it!

Now onto my opening! First I have to give kudos to the Moxie twins, Jamie and Jen Dunn. They presented me with the opportunity to open a POSCHE 2 within their salon in Ridgewood, and it was a great idea! They are already so accomplished at such a young age. Definitely an inspiration to female entrepreneurs like myself! You will see my new business venture, Cuffs by Kim D, strewn throughout the boutique.  They launched in January and are doing fabulously!  And did everyone spot the striking redhead in the green jacket throughout the episode? That’s my beautiful mom! And not to exhaust the POSCHE shout outs (it’s my opening so I’m allowed!), but Jacqueline looked stunning in our Jay Godfrey blueberry lace-up back blouse and Alice + Olivia pencil skirt! And how about Teresa’s dress?! One of my favorites by Single; hot pink leather! Love love!
Did everyone love seeing Juicy Joe get his eyebrows tweezed?! How cute was that? They even got Chris into the chair too! They were such good sports!

A very dramatic entrance was made by Penny, and she was immediately met by some confrontation. I won’t delve too much into this now because there will be A LOT to discuss in next week’s blog. Everything will wrap up in the 90 minute finale. You all can see from the trailer that things do not end too pretty. Let’s just say you definitely do not want to miss this one! That is all I will say for now. Stay tuned for what I feel is one of the most shocking episodes in RHONJ history…

Episode 16: Rumor Has It…

Hi Dolls! I hope everyone enjoyed the gorgeous weather this weekend. I went into Little Italy last night for the Feast of San Gennaro and had a fabulous time! I love Manhattan in the fall!

So, we’re rounding it all out soon! Here are my thoughts on episode 16:

I would first like to congratulate my girlfriend Teresa on her new line of Skinny Italian products. I continue to be amazed by her, and I know she will continue to have nothing but success with all of her quickly growing brands!

It was very refreshing to see the Giudices and Gorgas have a nice family dinner at Rare. As an aside, if anyone is looking for a new steakhouse in our area of Jersey, Rare is fabulous!  The seafood tower they were eating is to die for! Anyway, I was very happy they were all relaxing and getting along. I love Antonia! She is such a wise woman and I have the utmost respect for her. She stole the entire scene! And didn’t Teresa look fab in her black and blue striped peplum top? It’s one of our faves, Torn by Ronny Kobo from Posche!

Juicy Joe clearly makes a juicy steak! My mouth was watering just looking at it! And loved the lesson on Fertility: 101 by Joe and Rosie! They had me cracking up. I thought Teresa did a very good job coaching Jacqueline with her speech, despite Chris laughing about it in the interview! It was all in good fun, and I thought his reaction was very cute!

Quick thought: I completely agreed when Joe Gorga told Johnny the music manager that “love is everything”, not sex. And Melissa is also wearing Torn in this scene. We have a few of those gold bodysuits left in the store…so sexy!

Richie was a big help in prepping for the big cannoli launch! My favorite part of the entire episode is when he drops the cards all over the kitchen floor! Haha I laughed so hard! And when the sign falls over outside! I will reiterate, Richie is hysterical this season! I wish Kathy a lot of luck, as I can speak from personal experience and say that owning your own business definitely has its ups and downs. I have never had the pleasure of tasting one of her cannolis, but I am sure they are very good!

Jacqueline’s Autism speech was very touching, and I thought her delivery was spot on. She is a wonderful mom and Nick’s progress is truly remarkable. He has come so far, and I think it’s very commendable that Jacq wants to help others by raising awareness.

Question. At Chakra, why does Melissa act so happy when she walks over to Penny at the bar? If she and Joe really believe Penny is the one who is actually spreading these rumors why act so calm around her? And better yet, why is Joe so quick to point a finger at all the women with regards to this cheating accusation? Why not go right to the source? I didn’t start the rumor. Teresa didn’t start the rumor. Jan didn’t start the rumor. And Penny didn’t start the rumor. Melissa’s ex did! It was all over Twitter. Whether it did or did not happen, HE is the one Joe Gorga should be confronting! Maybe it is just easier to always blame Teresa. Hmm…

Well, by the looks of the previews I guess you could all see I’m back next week! My Posche 2 opening at the Moxie Salon is the finale and it’s a two parter again! We’re gonna go out with a bang! Can’t wait for this one and I can only say one thing: Drama will be delivered! Until next week…

Arizona: A Horse of a Different Color

Hi dolls! Happy Fall! Sorry I have been a few weeks behind, but Arizona was a three parter, so I combined all episodes together.  I’m going to keep this one short and sweet, as I have a feeling there will be a lot to discuss in the weeks to come!

I would like to start out by saying that I give Melissa a lot of credit for going to Arizona for therapy on her birthday, and sick let alone! Arizona is beautiful, but you would have to drag me kicking and screaming before I would fly 3,000 miles on a plane across the country to do healing family group exercises whilst under the weather! It feels like they were there forever too! Anyway, she was a real trooper and I felt for her!

I thought the best part of the trilogy was Wyatt, the horse whisperer. He really dug deep down and got to the bottom of the underlying issues and history within the group. He did not hold back or sugarcoat anything, and I think that is why everyone was so emotional. With this exercise, Wyatt also got everyone to encourage and support one another in being able to lift the horse’s hoof. The whole scene was very real. It was truly unbelievable to see how that horse could interpret all of the different levels of energy and confidence. It just proves how smart animals really are. I do have to disagree with Caroline’s comment in the interview about Teresa being superficial. I have known Teresa a long time and I can honestly say that she is one of the least superficial people I know. She never ceases to amaze me especially with her fans. She is very gracious and will take countless pictures until she literally cannot smile anymore!

The second part of the trip I could appreciate the most was the partnered tightrope walking. It was very sweet to see Teresa and her brother get up there together and have to rely so heavily on one another, no pun intended. I give them all credit because I personally could never go up there being afraid of heights! I also thought it was very noble of Teresa to go back up a second time with Melissa when she knew she was afraid. They didn’t make it very far on the actual rope, but in terms of their relationship I think they made it a long way in that moment.

Lastly, I have to address Joe throwing the glass at the wall. I understand that everyone was drinking that night, however he almost got glass in his sister’s eye. Joe Gorga is very passionate, and of course any man would get that angry if someone was verbally attacking his wife on Twitter. I just need to reiterate that Joe really does need to learn how to control his temper before someone gets hurt. Melissa did reprimand him, as she should have, but I just worry that one day it will be a little too late.

Like I said, short and sweet on this one, but be prepared for the upcoming ones to be much lengthier to close out the season. We are coming to the end already if you can believe it! Still some great stuff to come though, so check back after Sunday night for the next edition of my blog! Posche has been rocking and I am so appreciative to everyone who has been coming by to show support and shop! Our next fashion show is coming up on Wednesday, October 23rd at the Venetian and tickets are selling fast! Hope to see some of you there! Until next week!

Episode 12: Hair-Raising Experience

Hi dolls! Things are really starting to heat up! Here are my thoughts on episode 12:

First of all, right out of the gate I was ecstatic to see so many of my Posche clothes! In the first scene, Teresa is wearing our Alice + Olivia royal blue cropped jacket with Blank polka dot skinny jeans. She looked adorable! And in the interviews flashing throughout the same scene, Teresa is in our Torn by Ronny Kobo cherry red one shoulder ruched dress, and Melissa is in our Mittmi black sundress! Love seeing the girls rocking Posche!

Jacqueline’s reunion with the kids after coming home from California was so sweet. They were so excited to see her! I had to smile because I used to vacation occasionally when my son was growing up and when I would come home it would be like no time had passed. We’d both say hi and just pick up where we left off! CJ and Nick were hugging her like they never wanted to let go! Really cute!

I have to say I find Richie to be hysterical this season! I crack up laughing at him constantly and his facial expressions kill me!

Now onto the drama…there are a couple of points I would like to make about the accusations rehashed in this episode: A) These rumors about Melissa had been going around for a while, even prior to the show. B) The man in question had been Tweeting with intention to expose her for the alleged accusations. C) Melissa’s sisters were fighting back with the man on Twitter. So how would that make Teresa guilty? And D) I just listened.

Teresa did make the phone call to warn Melissa that Jan and Penny were coming to the Milania event. She didn’t want Melissa to be alarmed when she saw them there. She did not go behind her back. On that note, both Jan and Penny were hairdressers that Teresa invited because they were already carrying the product in their salons. However, had they not been personally invited, they still could have attended. It was an open invite only to all salon owners. If I found out that one of my closest friends, the only friend I had in my wedding, was claiming that I had an affair I would absolutely want to confront her about it. To address Melissa’s comment about “b*tches trying to bring her down”, I will repeat: These rumors started years ago. And to address Joe’s comment to the tune of “I wish I was a girl…I’d be laying b*tches out”, I am not surprised. He does a pretty good job of expressing his emotions without laying them out. Let’s hope that never happens!

How precious was Milania running around in her mom’s bra?! I know there were some viewers who thought when the camera was on Gia that she was glaring at me, but I can assure you she definitely wasn’t and would never do that! I’m close with all Teresa’s girls, but especially Gia. We love each other and always have girl talks! Sometimes it is just the way the show is edited. Just like how I did NOT roll my eyes when Teresa told me Joe and Melissa were coming. That face was made in regards to a different comment she made. If you see, when Teresa tells me they made up I am genuinely very happy! I tell her everything will be fine, and I meant it.

As a businesswoman promoting a product, Teresa should of course be gracious to Jan. As she said the Milania Haircare was in her salon and everyone loved it. Jan was there to support her in this new endeavor. Teresa should not have to take on Melissa’s foes. It should be completely out of her hands. When two women have a close relationship and something happens to make them grow apart, it is not hard to feel hurt or to have resentment. In my own experience as a woman, we tend to gossip and share secrets in the heat of the moment. It’s just what we do. I really do hope that one day Melissa and Jan can move forward from this and mend their friendship. I recently read this quote on Facebook that I love: “We don’t lose friends. We learn who are real ones are.” It holds a great deal of truth to it.

That’s all for this week! It was fun to see my face again and there is still more to come! We had a very successful book signing with Teresa at Posche last Wednesday and even made it on Entertainment Tonight! The response was wonderful! Next up is our annual Fall Posche Fashion Show. Tickets on sale now, and we hope to see some of you there at the Venetian on the eve of October 23rd! Enjoy one of the last week’s of the Summer! Stay cool!

Episode 11: A Leopard’s Hope to Change his Spots

Hi dolls! This season has really gotten underway! Can’t believe it’s half over already! Here are my thoughts on episode 11:

It was very sweet to see Gia have a day out alone with her uncle. At the young age of twelve, I really believe she has reached the maturity level of someone who is well into her twenties. Being able to speak up to her Xio Joe and express her feelings about a very grown up situation took a lot of courage. There are grown adults who cannot do what she did, and I am very proud of the eloquent young lady she is fast becoming.

I admire the fact that Joe told Gia he was “embarrassed” by his “disgusting” behavior and his inability to “control” himself at times, to quote him directly. He admitted to going on “random rants”, and as someone who was directly affected by this in last season’s finale, I do appreciate that he is now owning it. In my opinion, hearing  it from Gia made him realize how much of an effect his behavior has on people. Later in this episode, he goes on to say that when he gets mad he calls everybody names, but “it’s just a name”. I am certain he does not think his sister is “scum”, and deep down I do not believe he thinks I am any of the names he called me last year either. I was pleased to hear that going forward he wants to change, and admitting that is a big step.

Unfortunately, I was away the weekend of the Zumba class for The NephCure Foundation. One of the first scenes we shot this season (that has not aired) was Teresa receiving an award for her work with NephCure. It was such a memorable evening. Teresa is very passionate about raising awareness for this rare kidney disorder that has affected so many, including her close friend Dana’s beautiful son, Matthew, whom the charity was created for. I love Dana and am beyond thrilled that NephCure was featured on last night’s episode. Hopefully everyone who watched will Google the organization and learn a little bit more about what they do to help these sick children. And as an aside, I thought the men danced better than the women! I was very impressed!

I always tell Jacqueline she is way too hard on herself! When she comes into Posche she rocks our clothes, and has the cutest little body you’ve ever seen! However, I believe women should do whatever it takes to make themselves happy, so I support her decision to have the tummy tuck 100%. And she looks beautiful, even though she always did!

In this edition of “Where’s Posche?”, I was so excited to see Richie complimenting Caroline in our Alice + Olivia black and white midi sweater dress! She looked fab! And did anyone notice Teresa’s bling Fabellini hoodie on the bus? That was designed by the company who does my Cuffs by Kim D line and they will all soon be available at Posche with all different designs! Love the crystal wristsbands!

So, next week I’m back! There is a little sneak peek of the Milania Haircare party on Bravotv.com. Some drama definitely unfolds there, so hold onto your hats! And big day at Posche this Wednesday! Teresa will be signing her new cookbook, “Fabulicious On the Grill” from 6:30-9pm! Check outwww.teresagiudice.com for details. We are still having a big summer blowout sale too, so visit our website at www.shopposche.com, or follow us on Instagram @Therealposche. Hope to see some of you!

Episode 10: Friend Mend

Hi dolls! How is everyone doing? I was away in Atlantic City last Sunday, so I got a little behind on my blogging! Here are my thoughts on episode 10:

I love seeing all Teresa’s girls in the kitchen helping their mommy out. They are all so unbelievably sweet and smart and I just love them. Milania couldn’t wait for Antonia to come over! So thrilled the families have patched things up because I truly feel the saddest aspect of the feud was that the cousins could not be together. They picked up right where they left off and their reunion was so heartwarming!

I have to say in general this season all these New Jersey Househusbands certainly do have a way with words, don’t they?! Very interesting choice of phrasing across the board! Won’t go into specifics, but I am sure you all get my drift!

I have really gotten to know Rosie while we were filming this season. I really like her and truly hope she does find the love of her life. She’s a good person and she deserves it!

What is going on with all these private room meetings? First, Danielle and Caroline, then Caroline and Teresa, and now Teresa and Jacqueline! Just something I noticed when a serious conversation is going to take place, it’s always secluded in a restaurant’s private room! I always knew deep down that Teresa and Jacqueline would make up. I am friends with both of them and over the past year they would ask about each other just to check in.  They both have said things about each other that they did not mean.  What I can say is that Teresa is definitely not a sociopath, and Jacqueline is definitely not evil. I believe they never lost that bond they had formed over their entire friendship, even when they were not speaking.

Men are completely different from women in the sense that they can quickly call a truce and brush things under the rug. Women need to take their time to dissect every little thing, and then maybe at the end of the discussion it still doesn’t get resolved. It was nice to see Joe Giudice and Chris cheers their wine glasses to moving forward because they did have a very close friendship at one time.

In conclusion, I always like to end with what I like to call “Where’s Posche?” Jacqueline was wearing our charcoal hearts dress by one of our favorite designers Torn by Ronny Kobo. Also in the meeting with Teresa, she is wearing our Jay Godfrey silk boyfriend blazer in eggplant. She looked beautiful! Both pieces we still have available at Posche as part of our Summer sale!

That’s all for now, and I hope to see some of you at Posche this Wednesday, August 14th as Teresa signs her newest cookbook, “Fabulicious On the Grill” from 6:30-9. We will have a few surprises, and it’s going to be a fabulous evening!

Episode 9: Truce-fully Yours

Hi Dolls! What an emotional roller coaster these past three episodes have taken us all on! Here is my blog for Episode 9:

Let me start out by repeating again how much I absolutely LOVE Dr. V! She is fabulous in so many ways, and how brilliant is she?! What Dr. V was able to accomplish with the Giudices and Gorgas was truly unbelievable.  It was nothing short of a Mexican standoff. She was somehow able to make peace out of a situation everyone thought was irreparable. I have the utmost respect for people who choose to spend their lives helping others. Truly commendable. And she’s so fashionable too!

I would like to state my belief in life is that in a good relationship you do not need to be attached at the hip. Dr. V suggested that Teresa and Joe Gorga should spend time alone and I am in 100% agreement with that statement. Married couples should take a little bit of time apart now and then. It is healthy for both people. And I do not feel Teresa should be apologizing anymore! Enough is enough, it’s time to move forward.

Rosie is a good-hearted soul. I felt bad for her sitting at the table because it was clear she really just wanted everyone to make up. Her family means a lot to her and it shows. As always she provided the much needed comic relief on the trip!

I thought it was so cute to see Melissa get a little buzzed and let her hair down! I definitely would’ve been right there with her in the kitchen watching everyone else cook while downing a few Grey Gooses, worrying more about my eyelashes being singed by the flames!

It was so sweet to see Joe Giudice’s sensitive side, although it was not surprising to me. I love Joe, and we always talk straight. I believe that Teresa will take his advice and make up with Jacqueline before season’s end. And hmm, interesting conversation at the Laurita dinner table!! I love Chris, but the sock comment was TMI!

Lastly, as always I love seeing the girls in my Posche clothes! Teresa looked gorgeous in our Boulee violet Audrey top in her interview! We are currently sold out, but just ordered more colors for Fall! And of course, Jacqueline in our Kings of Cole Buddha tee paired with our Rich + Skinny distressed jeans. She looked adorable!

Well, that’s all until next week! Hope everyone is having a fabulous summer! I am loving mine. Have been spending lots of time at Posche and traveling on the weekends. Last weekend was especially exciting as I received an honorary Ambassador of Peace Award at a prestigious event in the Hamptons! I was thrilled and what an honor! After all, Andy did call me Switzerland… 😉
